Attorney William A. Kovalcik of O’Connor Law Receive Certification in Workers’ Comp Law

Frackville, PA – May 22, 2013 – It is with great pride that the attorneys at O’Connor Law, LLC announce that Attorney William A. Kovalcik has been certified as specialists in the area of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Law Section Certification Committee.

Attorney Kovalcik received a passing grade on the certification examination in March 2013. The certification is effective for five years.

The process and certification of lawyers in the area of workers’ compensation was put into effect by Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Ronald D. Castille in January. The order granted accreditation to the Pennsylvania Bar Association workers compensation law section as a certifying organization in the area of workers’ compensation law. By taking the exam and receiving a passing grade, an attorney can refer to him/herself as certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Attorney Kovalcik was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1985 and is also a member of the Northumberland County Bar Association. Attorney Kovalcik is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School and handles cases involving workers’ compensation.
