Project Cheer 2020

Volunteers Help 6 Families by Spreading Christmas Cheer

2020 was the Year of Change for O’Connor Law. We celebrated and navigated many new experiences, such as operating in our first full year as O’Connor Law (previously Michael J. O’Connor & Associates), conducting business via a fully-virtual office, and of course… living within a pandemic.

Naturally, we were not immune to the obstacles of 2020, and were forced to adjust by sacrificing some of our favorite traditions. However, we were thrilled these circumstances did not interrupt one of our favorite holiday traditions! For the second consecutive year, O’Connor Law and its staff participated in Frackville’s Project Cheer.

Project Cheer is the creation of Heather and Anthony Kankowski; It aims to deliver exactly what its name would suggest: Holiday Cheer. In 2020, Project Cheer was able to invite the families of 13 children from Frackville to the ceremony. Pizza, snacks, and drinks were served, and Santa met with the children alongside Mrs. Claus.
