Frackville, PA, June 29, 2011: Attorney Michael J. O’Connor has been selected as a Hearing Committee Member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Attorney O’Connor joins a distinguished group of attorneys who serve in a most important part of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania’s disciplinary system.
The Disciplinary Board is an independent agency under the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction. The purpose of the Disciplinary Board is to assist the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in performing its constitutional duty to regulate attorney conduct. The Disciplinary Board meets regularly and makes decisions concerning cases before them, policies and personnel matters. The Disciplinary Board appoints Hearing Committee Members to assist in the disciplinary process. Attorney O’Connor’s term will take effect July 1, 2011 and will expire June 30, 2014.
